Having been a Christian since I was thirteen and in
church pretty much my whole life I have found a number of issues
that Christians deal with.
From a financial perspective many Christian are living with a
poverty mentality. Christians are walking around living from
paycheck to paycheck just like the rest of the world does. They are
continually talking about how broke they are. They either make
poverty a virtue, when God called it a curse, or they claim that
Satan has them defeated in that area. Churches are constantly
having car washes, bake sales youth auctions and all matters of fund
raisers, rather than teaching the people to tithe and give
offerings. If that is where your church is currently, don't feel
guilty about it, but there is a better way. The principle of sowing
and reaping applies to every aspect of our lives, especially in our
giving.
The tithe was a principle in the Word of God before the law was
given and Jesus did not do away with this principle As long as the
earth remains, seed time and harvest will operate as surely as the
law of gravity.
Due to much teaching on this subject many Christians are starting to
understand and operate on that concept, but they have received no
teaching on a Biblical and practical level when it comes to
financial planning and investing.
I am available to come to your church and teach a seminar that
addresses both of these issues, as well as preach on the issues of
righteousness and restoration. One of the areas that I touch on is
planned giving a real need for many churches and para-church groups.
Many Christians, specifically ministers have made no preparation for
their retirement, they are trusting God to provide for them, but
they are not doing their part. Any Biblical scholar know that "God
helps those who help themselves" is no where in Scripture, but the
concept of responsibility for our actions is in the Word. Most
ministers have opted out of social security, yet are doing
absolutely nothing to provide an income for themselves once they
leave the pulpit or what ever ministry they are involved in.
There are a number of options that pertain just to ministers. I
know about those options and will work with you, your staff, your
board and your congregation to design a retirement program that is
tailored for your specific needs.
